The bickering days of the Common Market and Union have been left behind - in the near future, Europe has a new allied purpose,
with member states working together for common goals. Battlefield Evolution begins by focusing on the British Army, but French and German forces will soon be on their way, quickly followed by others.

British Army Infantry Section - Comprising some of the most disciplined and well-trained troops in the world, the British Army has a long and proud history. This infantry section may be divided into two fire teams for greater tactical flexibility.
Equipped with the latest FIST (Future Infantry Soldier Technology) integrated combat systems, the British Army soldier now has instant access to battlefield data, raising his situational awareness in firefights. Linked to his L85A2 assault rifle, FIST makes him at least the equal to any opposition he is likely to face.
Two section members are armed with the Minimi Para machine gun, while two others have the AG36 underslung grenade launcher fitted to their rifle.

British Army Challenger II - Plated in second generation CHOBAM armour, the Challenger II is one of the best-protected tanks in ever designed. Incredibly fast over rough terrain, its smoothbore 120mm gun can engage a variety of targets in both open and urban environments.
Ready to receive an Automatic Protection System for increased survivability, there are few main battle tanks as well rounded and capable as the Challenger II, making it a solid addition to any European or British Army-only force.

EFTF British Army Command Section & Warrior - Trained at the Sandhurst College, British Army officers have few equals. This Command Section is able to watch the entire progress of the battle unfold on their digital links, then direct their forces effectively, p[lanning hit and run attacks or directing firepower to where it is most critical.
The Warrior APC is able to ferry squads across the battlefield in safety, its heavy armour protecting them while the 40mm cannon makes short work of all but the most heavily armoured opposition. The Warrior may be deployed with the Command Section, or on its own as transport for another squad.

The following items have been announced but not yet released by Mongoose Publishing:

British Army SAS Section - This SAS section contains some of the toughest and most capable soldiers to take to the battlefield. Each fire team is equipped with a Minimi Para MG (swappable for a Barrett M109 sniper rifle), while every other section member has an M416 with underslung grenade launcher. Once dug into cover, the SAS section is almost impossible to root out, while their Stealthy special rule will allow them to simply bypass many enemies on their way to an objective. Furthermore, the SAS are masters of well-timed ambushes, and can lie hidden on the tabletop for the perfect moment to unleash a devastating attack. There is no finer unit of infantry in the game.
